The majority of Americans, including many African-Americans, still see racial discrimination as a serious problem in the U.S., according to recent CNN/ESSENCE survey.
The findings are a blow to some who hoped the election of Barack Obama as the nation's first black president would inspire widespread racial reconciliation.
