French actor Jean Dujardin received the award for ‘Best Actor in a Comedy' for his role as George Valentin in The Artist at Sunday's Golden Globes.

Terrence Malick's film, part creation epic and part Oedipal family drama, recently won the Palme d'Or — the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

Film buffs get ready: this spring is all about you! Two film festivals Rendez-vous with French Cinema and Focus on French Cinema will offer a great experience for film lovers.

Now in its 15th year, the wildly popular series presents another exclusive panorama of contemporary French cinema, from intimate personal stories to finely crafted forays into genre filmmaking.

Thanks to the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, FIAF presents a small retrospective of Gainsbourg's impressive and diverse career in French cinema, including the New York Premiere of her upcoming film, Persécution, directed by Patrice Chéreau.

The Cinefondation, student film selection of the Cannes Film Festival, will present films from film schools (fiction and animation).

In 2009, 17 films were selected from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Israel, Poland, South Korea, United Kingdom and United States.
