"Family in captivity"

The Congregation Beth Israel, with the support of the Jewish Federation, the New Orleans Rabbinic Council and the Consulate General of France present "Family in captivity", a documentary that chronicles the family of Franco-Israeli Gilad Shalit.

Marking the 4th anniversary of the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit, the 55 minute documentary, produced and realized in Israel, follows the Shalit family for the past 3 years.

Houston International Film Festival

The cultural department of the Consulate General of France in Houston organizes an exceptional event ; a free screening of French short films on the occasion of the Houston International Film Festival on Friday, April 24 at the AMC Theater (2949 Dunvale, Houston, TX 77063) at 1:00 pm.

The duration of the show is 1h05. Those films are made in a very up-to-date style, well-liked by young people.

This month of October, the Consulate General of France in New Orleans puts the highlight on Europe!

Mr.

Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, Ambassador in charge of the cultural dimension of the French Presidency of the European Union, will participate to the World Cultural Economic Forum (WCEF) organized in New Orleans from October 29 to October 31.

He will also pronounce a conference at the University of Tulane: “Europe today”, on Thursday October 30.
