The finale of the three-day Washington DC Street Performance Festival, made possible by the Kennedy Center and the French-American Cultural Foundation, will be held on the grounds of the Embassy of France!

On Monday, January 28, Kareen Rispal, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of France, conferred upon June Anderson the insignia of Commander in the Order of Arts and Letters, and upon Victor Brombert the insignia of Commander in the Order of Academic Palms.

Ms. Anderson shares a passion for French language and literature with her former college professor, Mr. Brombert, who is himself a lifelong enthusiast of the opera.
