Some interesting facts from our ‘08 entry period-The top 15 winners in 6 categories - 90 kids:

16 ISD’s have a finalist with Ft.

Bend #1 with 13
>34 High Schools have a finalist with John Cooper # 1 with 9
>By grade: 49 Seniors/ 28 Juniors / 9 Sophomors/ 3 Freshman
(three Freshmen shows that talent can’t be held back)
>The teacher with the most finalist is Donna Reedy with 7

November is just around the corner and the entry day awaits an estimated 1,300 entries in the 9th annual CultureShapers Visual Art Contest.

More than $75,000 in prize money is on the line and will be presented three weeks later on November 20th at the Geiger Center for Performing Art.

Entry period is ONE DAY, November 1st, at Westfield high school on Ella, just south of 1960.

How are you doing on getting a piece ready for the CultureShapers entry period- November 1st?

With a $5,000 first prize check awaiting the winner (six $5,000 checks) in each of six categories, don’t you think it’s worth your effort to give it a shot?

Even if you’re a freshman, get some experience in your first year, LEARN! But, msot importantly- CREATE! Whatcha got to lose?

We have officially made two decisions that you can put in your calendars for the
9th annual CultureShapers Visual Arts Campaign.

1-The Awards Banquet will be back at the Geiger Center
for Performing Art as it was last year.

And, we’re going back to the earlier format that we
followed for seven of those eight years. The awards ceremony will be…………………
