GOP Fires Filibuster Warning Shot On Court Nominee

The Senate is gearing up for what could be an epic confirmation battle over President Obama's next Supreme Court nomination.

The president has yet to announce who he would like to succeed retiring Justice John Paul Stevens. But Republicans already are making it clear they have not ruled out using a filibuster to block his next choice for the high court.
