For Sen. Jeff Sessions, Appointment Is Vindication

The top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee took his seat Wednesday, replacing Sen. Arlen Specter who became a Democrat.

Sessions, who 23 years ago was not confirmed as a federal judge, is now charge of President Obama deals with judicial nominees.
